Mrs. Joyce Marie Wostal Dickey age 86 of Freeport passed away on March 17, 2026. She was born October 23, 1939 in Orange Grove, Texas to the late Felix and Hazel Wostal.

Mrs. Dickey relocated from Texas to Florida in 1960. She was Methodist by faith and a member of Freeport Methodist Church. She worked in the Walton County School District for many years retiring from Freeport Elementary School as the school secretary.  She loved fishing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph T. Dickey, her son Joe T. Simmons, Jr., her brother Clinton J. Wostal and sister Betty Ann Milner. She is survived by her children Tanya Simmons Stuart (Dave), Bruce Simmons (Lori) and Lisa Dickey Boughton (Kevin). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle Stuart, Brett Stuart (Amber), Leah Stuart Kamerer (Chris), Brandon Simmons (Regan), Patrick Simmons, Ashley Smith Lewis (Jack), Nicholas Boughton (Chelsea), Alexander Boughton (Brianna), 13 great grandchildren, Elise Houston(Bryson), Luke Stuart, Lilly Rudd, Callie and Madden Kamerer, Miles and Maggie Simmons, Logan Huey, Ella and Emma Lewis, Patrick and Henry Boughton, Autumn Boughton, 1 great-great Grandson Amari Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida 32439.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating and Eulogy by Jerry Dickey.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 – 4:00 PM, April 25, 2026 at the Freeport Community Center; 114 Hwy 20 West, Freeport, Florida 32439.

Pall Bearers will be Brandon Simmons, Patrick Simmons, Nicholas Boughton, Alexander Boughton, Brett Stuart and Leah Kamerer.

Burial will follow in the Hatcher Cemetery.
