Mr. John W. McLeod Sr. (Billy), age 80, passed away February 15, 2024.  He was born on August 7, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida to Raymond McLeod and Mae Ola Bane McLeod.

Mr. McLeod was lived in DeFuniak Springs and Laurel Hill before moving his family to Pensacola, Florida. Most of his life was spent driving trucks of various types, both for himself and others. After retirement he moved back to DeFuniak Springs, Florida where he resided until his death. He loved hands-on work such as engine repair of all kinds as well as gardening and lawn work. He had been an avid race fan for his entire life.

Mr. McLeod was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond McLeod and Mae Ola (Bane) McLeod (Cox); one daughter Rita McLeod Mcebie and one son John William McLeod Jr. (BB).

Mr. McLeod is survived by a longtime friend and companion, Patricia Peters and her children whom he loved as his own, Paul Vogel (Janeese) and Cindy Vogel of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; grandchildren John W Mcleod III and Robert McLeod of Pensacola, Florida, Chrystal McLeod of Hurley, Wisconsin, Robbie, Nicole and Tori Gratz, Cameron Castillo and Jenna Bell all of DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00- 12:00 PM, February 22, 2024 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with close family and friends.
