Mr. John Charles Fleming, age 77, passed away March 4, 2024.  He was born on December 28, 1946 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Emmett Henton Fleming and Effie Vera Lee Adams Fleming. Mr. Fleming was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He worked for over 25 years as a Flight Line Supervisor at Eglin Air Force Base before retiring. He enjoyed hunting and was a antique gun collector. He was also a Gunsmith.

Mr. Fleming was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Fleming is survived by his loving wife Katharine Fleming; daughter Tracy McDonough; granddaughter Alyssa McDonough; brothers Don Fleming and his wife Kathy Fleming, Mike Fleming and his wife Susie Fleming and David Fleming and his wife Teresa Fleming and nieces Erin Noyes and husband Bryan Noyes, Lesley Telatovich and husband Aaron Telatovich and Holly Kovalsky and husband Chris Kovalsky, Charlene Hinkamper and Andrea Fleming, nephew, Chris Hinkamper.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, March 8, 2024 at New Harmony Baptist Church; 2281 County Highway 2A-  Defuniak Springs, FL 32433.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 8, 2024 at New Harmony Baptist Church; with Reverend Terry Brooks, Reverend James Pickerson and Reverend Todd Camp officiating. Flowers are being accepted. Pallbearers will be Darrell Adams, Ward Holley, David Jones, Mike Hulion, Brian Noyes and Aaron Telatovich.  Burial will be held at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
