John Rodney
Culpepper
July 5, 1945 – February 24, 2026
Yesterday, our family said goodbye to a man we deeply love. At 80 years old, he lived a full, hardworking, and meaningful life — one marked by faith, loyalty, and a relentless drive that never slowed down.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force, and he carried that same discipline and determination into every chapter of his life. He was a go-getter who never sat still — always fixing something, helping someone, or finding a way to make life better for the people he loved. His faith in God guided him, and his love for his family, children, grandchildren, and friends was fierce, steady, and unmistakable.
He was a man of strong convictions who admired Donald Trump and never missed his daily routine of watching Fox News. Those small everyday pieces of who he was will forever bring a smile to our hearts.
He is survived by his loving wife, Trina Culpepper, his children Tara (Paul) Sachs John (Christina) Culpepper Craig (Elizabeth) Culpepper Brad Culpepper and Amanda Smith. He was blessed with eight cherished grandchildren: Ava Savannah, Alana, Carolyn, Talia, Brianna, Brian and Austin. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia (Thomas) Holland and Sherrie (Pier) Garnto Rivera, along with several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father J.W. (Bud) Culpepper his mother Thelma Culpepper, Donna Moretz. and his nephew Gregory Scott Holland.
He leaves behind a legacy of strength, faith, humor, and unwavering love. While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful he is now at peace, healed and whole in the presence of God.
