Mr. Joel Lynn Dempsey, age 83, passed away October 17, 2024.  He was born on January 11, 1941 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Jack and Pearl Dempsey.

Joel Dempsey, born in Texas graduated from Miami Dade Junior College. While in Miami he met his beloved wife, and together the had two children. Joel served as a nuclear weapons specialist in the Airforce while also attending flight school. He worked offshore many years before returning to the Panhandle. Joel will be remembered for his dedication, hard work, and love for his family.

Mr. Dempsey was preceded in death by his mother and father and his wife, Beverly Dempsey.

Mr. Dempsey is survived by his daughters, Julie Sauls and Christina Bailey; grandchildren, Jeffery Holland, Jessica Bailey, Jillian Powers, Landon Bailey and great grandchildren, Hayden Holland and Augustus Powers.

Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.
