Ms. Joan Marie Hutton, age 70, passed away on April 8, 2026. She was born on June 13, 1955, in Medina, Ohio, to Howard M. Mayne and Mary K. Parks Mayne.
Ms. Hutton was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and was Baptist by faith. She worked in the hospitality industry for many years, where her natural warmth and kindness touched countless lives.
Joan was the kindest soul, known for her quick wit, sense of humor, and love of a good gathering. She brought laughter wherever she went and never missed a chance to celebrate life with family and friends. Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and aunt—truly the heart of her family. To her children, she was simply the best mother there is, a constant source of love, strength, and joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard M. Mayne and Mary K. Parks Mayne; her two sisters, Leila Overly and Edith Farmer; her two brothers, Craig Mayne and Doug Mayne; and her daughter, Amanda Hutton.
Ms. Hutton is survived by her four children: Shay Koranda, David Wilberger, Steven Hutton (Sage), and Destiny Clark (Jeremy). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Brittany Koranda, Ricky Koranda, Rachel Kirkwood, Davey Kirkwood, Kayden Hutton, Cash Anderson, Phoenix Phillips, Cameron Langston, Bryson Clark, Jayson Clark, Nathan Callahan, Bryor Callahan, and Joey Hutton; as well as five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Buck Mayne (Marsha), and her sisters, Judy Brown, Linda Shambaugh (Donald), and Thelma Eizembex (Donald).
A time of visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday, April 24, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 432435.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 24, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.
