Ms. Jo Anne Wilson, age 81, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025. She was born December 8, 1943 in St. Petersburg, Florida to Walter and Frances Lett Pagels.

Ms. Wilson was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of DeFuniak Springs. She graduated from Largo High School in 1960. She worked as a paramedic for over 20 years, serving mostly in Panama City, Florida, Ambulance Director in Port St. Joe. Security Guard in Crestview, Florida, Counselor at Hope House in Crestview, and she was an Addiction Counselor at the Department of Corrections in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She loved God, Jesus Christ and the Church, she was a choir Director at Trinity Lutheran Church, she sang in the choir at First Methodist Church of DeFuniak Springs where she drove the Sunday School bus to pick up children for church. She was also a very talented Harp player.

Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents.

Ms. Wilson is survived by her children, Michael Thomas Hemphill and wife Joann and David James Hemphill; brother, Thomas L. Pagels, two nieces, Kathy- Jo Jackowski and husband  Steve and Michele Marie Pagels, one nephew, Thomas L. Pagels II and wife Michelle, also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, September 5, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.
