Mr. Jimmy Leon Davis, age 78 of Phenix City, Alabama passed peacefully on September 11, 2024. To be with our Lord and Savior. He was born in Samson, Alabama on January 11, 1946, to George Lamar Davis and Gladys Ezelle Davis.

Jimmy graduated from Jordan High School in Columbus, Georgia in 1964. Afterwards, he would go on to serve 57 years in the Local- 52 Steamfitter and Pipefitter's Union, traveling nationwide retiring in 2011.

Jimmy enjoyed the simple things in life. As a young man he loved to draw and as he aged, he acquired a passion for reading and working crossword puzzles. He also loved collecting old coins, dabbling in antique cars and trucks and a love for Alabama Football. But the greatest love in Jimmy's life was for his two children, taking great pride in them and their accomplishments. When he would visit his children in Florida, he loved to sit on the dock overlooking the bay or go to his son's barn where he loved the serenity of the outdoors being close to nature. He will be truly missed by those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Lamar Davis, his mother, Gladys Ezell Davis, and brother, Lomax Davis.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Sharon Lynn Cassity and son, Jeffrey Alan Davis of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; sister, Kathy Davis Shelley of Columbus, Georgia and niece Miranda Lynn Graham of Phenix City, Alabama.

A celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.

Family and Friends will be notified of the location and time for all to attend.
