Jimmy Thomas Carroll was born on January 8, 1960, and passed away on July 14, 2026. His life, marked by deep connections to family and a passion for living fully, will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Jimmy was the beloved son of Mary Holley Cartwright, who survives him. He leaves behind his devoted son, Michael Jason Carroll (Heather), and his cherished grandson, Zander Jace Carroll. Jimmy’s sisters, Cissy Forrester and Stephanie Bailey (Mack), along with his brother-in-law, Ralph Laird, also survive him, each holding dear countless memories shared over the years. He was preceded in death by Dearon Thomas Carroll and his sister, Kathy Laird, whose memories he kept close to his heart.
Jimmy completed his education at Walton High School, graduating in 1998. His time as a student was a stepping stone into a life characterized by a profound love of family, friends, and the many joys of living.
A man of diverse interests, Jimmy found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed riding dirt roads with his dogs by his side, the wind and open trails offering both freedom and adventure. Nothing brought him more pride than watching his son and grandson excel in sports; he was there to cheer them on, sharing in their triumphs and hard work. Boxing matches featuring Roy Jones, Jr. brought excitement to his home, while relaxing days spent cooking out, hunting, and fishing created lasting memories for all who joined him.
