Mr. Jim Aubrey Cosson, age 65, passed away September 21, 2025.  He was born on September 26, 1959 in Panama City, Florida to Richard Harry Cosson and Lucille Jeanette Belanger Cosson.

Mr. Cosson was a lifelong resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where her served as a Deacon, Choir Director and was very active in serving the Lord. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. He worked at the Walton County Machine Shop as supervisor over the Welding and Fabrication Department for over 30 years before retiring. He also owned and operated his own Welding and Fabrication Business "Cosson Gigs". "When holding on really matters" was his Logo.

Mr. Cosson was preceded in death by his parents Richard Harry Cosson and Lucille Jeanette Belanger Cosson.

Mr. Cosson is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Julia Anne Cosson; his children, Brian Aubrey Cosson and his wife Alisia and Joshua Lee Cosson and his partner Timothy Douglass; brothers, Robert "Bob" Cosson and Bruce Cosson; grandchildren Sebastian Cosson and Allie Cosson; special cousins and caregivers Twyla Cosson Hall and Andy Wilkerson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 AM, Friday, September 26, 2025 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church at 1015 Pleasant Ridge Rd, DeFuniak Springs, FL, United States, 32435.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 26, 2025 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church; with Reverend Kenny Montgomery officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donation be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church at 1015 Pleasant Ridge Rd, DeFuniak Springs, FL, United States, 32435 or at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church - Give.

At Jim's request he will be cremated and his cremated remains will be buried in the Cosson Family Plot at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
