She was born to Elmer and Edna Goodwin on November 11, 1935, in DeFuniak Springs, FL, where she remained as a life long resident. Throughout her life, Jewell was known for her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to her family, community, and church. She coached a girl's softball team in the 1960's and volunteered at the elementary school as a "gray lady" in the clinic. She glowed with pride when she as able to welcome her first great great grandchild into the world in 2022. Her warmth and compassion touched the lives of everyone who knew her, leaving lasting memories and a legacy of generosity.
