Mr. Jerry Joseph Paulk, age 66, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015. He was born July 26, 1949 in Duval, Florida to Henry and Irene Godwin Paulk. Mr. Paulk was a resident of Freeport. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Freeport First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era serving his country in the United States Air Force with over 20 years of service as a Tech Sergeant. He was an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He worked as the sporting goods manager at Wal-Mart for the past 25 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge F & AM, Denver, Colorado. Mr. Paulk is preceded in death by his parents; one niece Susan Jones and one brother-in-law Kenneth Harper. Mr. Paulk is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Margie Paulk of Freeport, Florida; son Bryan Paulk and wife Tani, grandchildren Catlin and James Paulk, son Dr. Michael J. Paulk and Trish Paulk; son Kevin Paulk; sister Barbara Harper; step-children James and wife Amanda Adams, Carmen Adams, Melissa and Mike Thomas, Jennifer and Perry Bell; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; many special friends and cousins, aunts and uncles, also survived by nephew Derrick and son Justin Jones. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Hatcher Cemetery, with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating and Chloe Thomas Eulogy, with Military honors by the United States Air Force. Flowers are being accepted.
