Mr. Jerry Parrish, age 64, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014. He was born October 17, 1949 in Florala, Alabama to Grady and Alma Maloy Parrish. Mr. Parrish was a resident of Walton County. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church. He graduated from Paxton High School in 1966. He worked as a correctional officer at Walton Correctional Facility before retiring. He enjoyed showing off corvette. Mr. Parrish was preceded in death by his parents; his wife JoLane Parrish and one brother Kenneth Parrish. Mr. Parrish is survived by his brother Tom Parrish and wife Rosa of Dothan, Alabama and one sister Florence Richardson and husband Doyle of the New Harmony Community, Florida. Visitation services will be held 10:00~11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Todd Camp officiating. Burial will follow at the Eight Mile Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Richardson, Donnie Richardson, Wayne Maloy, Ronnie Early, JD Sweeney and Tom Terrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Cook and Charles Potter. In lieu of flowers family request donations may be made to Covenant Hospice at Bay Medical Center at 615 North Bonita Avenue, Panama City, Florida 32401.
