Obituary

With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for the years we shared together, we announce the passing of Jennifer Marie Thompson, who left this world on July 14, 2026, just shy of her 47th birthday. Born on July 20, 1979, Jennifer’s journey through life was marked by her caring nature, quiet resilience, and the joy she brought to those who knew and loved her.

Jennifer’s spirit was most evident in her work—her calling. As a dedicated Veterinarian Technician, she poured compassion and expertise into caring for animals, offering comfort not only to her patients but also to their humans. Her gentle hands and warm voice were a source of both healing and reassurance. Later, Jennifer carried her kindness into the community while working at ACE Hardware in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. There, she forged lasting friendships and became a bright and familiar presence, always willing to help with a smile.

Jennifer’s heart beat loudly for the simple pleasures that made life beautiful. She found happiness in the rhythm of music, often losing herself in a favorite song or an impromptu dance, reminding those around her to savor each moment, to let go, and to laugh.

Above all, Jennifer cherished her role as a mother, daughter, and sister. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Abriana M. Dienes, who was and will forever be the light of her life. Jennifer’s deep affection and unwavering support for her daughter created a bond that will endure beyond time and space.

She is also remembered with love by her brother, Nathan Anderson (Sheila), her three sisters: Amanda Adkinson, Stacy Nelson, and Shaynon Barth, and her best and dearest friend, Kelly Cryar. Their memories with Jennifer are filled with shared stories, gentle teasing, and the unconditional love that only siblings can know. In mourning her passing, they also celebrate the countless moments she gave to them—time spent together, words of encouragement, and laughter that resounds still.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Adkinson and Patricia McGill Adkinson and sister April and brother David Wymer, whose values and kindness helped shape the remarkable woman she became.

Jennifer’s journey through this life touched countless lives—both two-legged and four. Her generosity of spirit, her laughter, and her compassion remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy not measured by accolades, but by everyday moments of warmth, caring, and the profound difference she made in every life she touched.

As family and friends gather to remember Jennifer’s life, comfort may be found in the music she loved and the memories she gifted so freely. Her story goes on in the love she fostered and the example she set, shining gently on all who continue walking the path she once joyfully danced down.
