Jennifer Lynn Sweat, 55, passed away surrounded by family on August 12, 2025. She was born on December 17, 1969 in Columbus, GA to Joan Wilson Jordan.

Jennifer was a graduate of Walton High School and then went on to attend Okaloosa Walton Community College for her associates degree followed by her bachelor's degree at the University of West Florida. She had a 28-year career in teaching where she primarily taught at Ponce De Leon Elementary School. Next to her family, teaching was one of her greatest joys. She truly believed that the children of Holmes County could achieve anything they wanted to.

Jennifer was saved by Christ as a teenager, baptized at Northside Baptist in Ponce De Leon, FL and served God faithfully through the years. She was a devoted Pastor's wife who lived her faith out loud to everyone around her. She was married to the love of her life, Larry Sweat Jr. for 34 years.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Ethridge.

She is survived by her husband, Larry, and her five daughters: Laura Way and husband Donald, Baylee Owens and husband Kyle, Mollie Sweat, Clara Sweat and Rylee Sweat. She was the proud Nana of six grandchildren who loved her dearly: BrayLynn Owens, Grayson Way, KJ Owens, Elijah Sweat, Scarlett Way and Kollynn Owens. She is also survived by mother Joan Jordan and Dave, brother Cory Jordan and wife Michelle, and sister Jacqueline Watson.

A time of visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Northside Baptist Church; 2831 FL-81, Ponce De Leon, FL 32455.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Northside Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Sweat Sr. and Reverend Terry Smith officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Pallbearers will be Rodd Jones, Ronnie Smith, Willy Tatman, Josh McGowan, Robbie Sweat, and Rob Sweat.

Burial will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery; 5064 County Highway 1883, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433.
