Mr. James "Jim" Odis Brown, 73, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025. He was born on November 5, 1951 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Odis Brown and Verbena Pitts Brown.

Jim was a resident of Freeport, Florida. He owned and operated Odis Brown Air Conditioning Service in Freeport. He also worked for fifteen years with Vitro. He enjoyed fishing. He was a Veteran of the United States Armed Forces, serving his country in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He was an avid Corvette enthusiast, enjoying driving his black Corvette.

Jim was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Jim is survived by his wife Nancy L. Brown; stepsons Gene (Angel) Downing, Jeff (Imee) Downing; stepdaughters Heather Cynowa and Melissa (Kelly) Shelton ; grandchildren Tiffany (Josh) Price, Rachel (Anton) Kabanov, Harley Winkleman, Jacob Winkleman, Sara (Brad) Shelton, Hanna (Isaiah) Washington, Noah (Molly) Shelton, Emma (Noah) Shelton, Clara Kate Shelton, Randel Downing and great grandchildren, Oliver James Kabanov, Deacon, Isaac, Elizabeth, Jasmine, Selena, Maverick and Riley.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, September 15, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20 East, Freeport, Florida 32439

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Anthony Cuchens officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will be held at Hatcher Cemetery with Military Honors by the United States Marine Corp.
