Mr. James Drake, age 50, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016. He was born July 22, 1965 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Willie and Sarah "Frankie" Crews Drake.

Mr. Drake was a lifelong resident of Walton County. He worked as an electrician and also as a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in his garden.

Mr. Drake is preceded in death by his father Willie Lee Drake and one brother Charles Eugene Drake.

Mr. Drake is survived by his mother Sarah "Frankie" Drake; one son J.C. Brown of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; two brothers Billy Earl Drake and wife Shirley and Willie Dean Drake all of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; five sisters Irene McKee and husband A.G. and Eileen Stanley and husband John all of the Liberty Community, Florida, Betty Hayes of Eufaula, Alabama, Carrie Bryan of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Nora Jordan of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation services will be held 2:00~3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Ray Cemetery; County Highway 1883, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433, with Reverend James Smith officiating.

Honorary pallbearer will be J.C. Brown. Pallbearers will be Shane Odom, Michael Alexander, Mark Miller, Thomas McKee, Gary McKee and Jesse Drake.

Floral arrangements are being accepted.
