Mr. James Daniel "Danny" McBroom, age 69, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023. He was born on July 10, 1953 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to J.W. "Bud" and Myrna McBroom.

Mr. McBroom was a lifelong resident of Walton County. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Baldwin Avenue Baptist Church. He was a 1973 graduate of Walton High School. He worked for Lance Cookie Company, Liberty National Insurance, and L&N Railroad before becoming disabled. He was an avid Auburn fan and loved to watch Auburn football, as well as talk to others to brag on his grandchildren.

Mr. McBroom was preceded in death by his father and mother; and one brother Phillip McBroom of Blakely, Georgia.

Mr. McBroom is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Janna Moseley McBroom of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; one son Bart McBroom of DeFuniak Springs; one daughter Mindi Reed and husband Jonathan of DeFuniak Springs; one granddaughter Raleigh Reed; one grandson Bartley McBroom; one uncle Tommy McBroom and wife Kaye; one aunt Martha Ann Hayes, one niece Michelle McBroom and one nephew, Jay McBroom both of Blakely, Georgia; and numerous cousins.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wilbur Williams.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will follow in Glendale Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Glendale, Florida.
