Mr. James David Aplin, age 84 , passed away Friday, February 28, 2025.  He was born on May 1, 1940, in Crestview, Florida to James and Mildren Bryan Aplin.

Mr. Aplin was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Mr. Aplin was a veteran of the Armed Forces, serving his country in the United States Navy. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He worked with Civil Service with the High Explosive Research Division for over 38 years before retiring. He also enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Aplin was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Aplin is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mrs. Barbara Ann Aplin, three children, DeeAnn Hayes and husband Charlie, Todd Wayne Aplin and wife Sandra, David Paul Aplin and wife Karon. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Melissa Helms and husband Ben, Rachael Crouse and husband Paul, and James Hayes, he is survived by two great grand children, Avery and Ruby.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
