Mrs. Jacqueline Carol Encardes, aged 73, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Born on August 29, 1952, to Melvin and Esther Emas, Mrs. Encardes was a cherished resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and practiced the Christian faith.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Encardes was a devoted Nana, beloved by many for her kindness and willingness to help others, even when she faced her own challenges. She built a meaningful career as an office manager in accounting and found joy in her hobbies, especially diamond art and needlepoint.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Esther, her husband Chris Encardes, her son Joshua David Encardes, her daughter Jennifer Roberts, and her granddaughter Ashlyn Encardes.

Mrs. Encardes is lovingly remembered by her son Jason Encardes and his wife Melissa; her son Jeremy Encardes and daughter-in-law Vickie Encardes; son-in-law Teddy Roberts; her grandchildren Matthew Encardes, Christian Roberts, Kyle Encardes, Brianna Roberts, Abby Roberts, Kaylee McTear and Kera Pickron; as well as her brother Dennis Emas.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at DeFuniak Springs Community Center, 361 North 10th Street, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the family to assist with funeral costs.
