Ms. Ingrid Burmeister, age 80, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024.  She was born  December 28, 1943 in  Litomerice, Czech Republic to Rudolph and Maria Hennen.

Ms. Burmeister  was a resident of DeFuniak Springs for the past 60 years moving from Germany. She was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Margaret's of Scotland Catholic Church in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, where she was an active Faithful member for 60 years where she also raised her children in church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an active board member and volunteer at Caring and Sharing. She worked as Director of Finance for the Board of County Commissioners for Walton County for 15 years. She also worked as Director of Finance for the Department of Housing and Urban Development for several years. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband.

Ms. Burmeister was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Maria Hennen of Germany and her husband of over 55 years, Horst Karl Burmeister.

Ms.  Burmeister is survived by her two daughters, Nicole Andrews and husband Forrest of Jacksonville, and Tanya Halstead and husband Robert of Pensacola, grandchildren, Alexis Andrews, Forrest Andrews, II, Stephen Halstead, Christopher Halstead and John Paul Halstead, and great grandchild, Ember Halstead.

A private interment will be held at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
