Ms. Ida Elizabeth Griffin, age 81, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023. She was born on April 25, 1942 in Bonifay, Florida to John Wesley and Mamie Lee Barton White.

Ms. Griffin was a resident of Freeport, Florida. She was a devoted wife and mother. She went to Ponce de Leon High School, but eventually went to work as a secretary at Freeport High School. She enjoyed traveling in her RV and camping with her family.

Ms. Griffin was preceded in death by her father and mother; husband of 42 years Gene A. Griffin; siblings Pete White, Mildred White Gainey, John White, Jr., and Veralee White Grantham.

Ms. Griffin is survived by her son Keith Maples and wife Ellie; siblings Wilma White Nelson, Inez White Kent, and Tommy White.

A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida 32439.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Roger White officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will follow in Hatcher Cemetery in Freeport, Florida.
