Mr. Howard Burton Wakelyn, age 82, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024.  He was born  November 20, 1942 in  Melbourne, Florida to William Edward (Ted) Wakelyn, Sr. and Reba Maude Golston Wakelyn.

Howard loved fishing in the Florida Keys and hunting deer in North Florida. He was also an avid CB Radio Club member with the "handle" of The Hollywood Red Snapper. Howard was a former meat manager with Food Fair and Pantry Pride. Howard retired in 2022 from Walmart after 25 years.

Howard  was preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Edward (Billy) Wakelyn, Jr.  and sister, Marry Minnie Walterson Ryland.

Howard is survived by his partner and soul mate, Kathy Frymire, his step-children, Matt Frymire (Teresa), Jennifer  Herndon (David), Nick Frymire (Kalyn) all of DeFuniak Springs, Florida,  sister, Diane Wakelyn MaComber of Jupiter, Florida , brother, George Harris Wakelyn of Lititz, PA, step-grandchildren, Alexis Herndon, Bradley Herndon and Jazlynn Frymire.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
