Mrs. Hilda P. Turner, age 79, passed away July 11, 2024.  She was born on January 21, 1945 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to James Pitts and Ola Crowder Pitts.

Mrs. Turner was a lifelong resident of Freeport, Florida and DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was Christian by faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed working in her garden and her yard. She also enjoyed floundering in the Bay. She was known as the "Flounder Queen."

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her father and mother; husband of 50 years, Bobby Joe Turner; son, David Turner and daughter, Sharon Kelley and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her son, James Kelley of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; daughters, Judy Pohlmann and husband Axel and Melissa Turner of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and sister, Mavis Hensley of Bradenton, Florida. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Chris Weeks, Celina Gogol, Chelsea Lee, Alysha Kurani, Dana King, Imran Kurani, Amanda Games, Brandy Turner, David Fields and Cody Brown; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 Highway 20 East, Freeport, Florida 32439.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; with Pastor Chris Black officiating.

Flowers are being accepted and family requests artificial flowers in memory of Mrs. Hilda Turner.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Chris Weeks, Imran Kurani, David Fields, Cody Brown, Brent King and John Lomas.

Burial will be held at Hatcher Cemetery.
