Helene's beautiful soul was called home on September 21, 2022, at 3:22am, at the young age of 62 with her husband Eric and sister/best friend Suzi by her side. Helene grew up in Poughkeepsie, NY where she graduated from Spackenhill High School and went on to study cosmetology. Helene moved to Houston, Texas in the early 80's where she worked for several years in the food and beverage industry at various establishments such as Adam's Mark Hotel and McFaddin Ventures (Rialto & Studebakers). She then went on to pursue her passion for style and beauty where she opened a much-loved and successful salon in Smyrna, Georgia (Plum Salon). In 2012, Helene married the love of her life, Eric. The couple were longtime friends for 30 years and when unexpectedly meeting up again at a reunion in Houston realized that what they had was more than friendship. Eric and Helene started their life together in Katy, Texas and then went on to buy their dream home in Miramar Beach, Florida where they enjoyed a beautiful life by the ocean and had amazing friends and neighbors who will miss her dearly. Helene is remembered for her generosity, her sense of humor, her strong work ethic, her love for 80's alternative music and pastel-colored clothes, her immense love of animals and of course her ageless beauty. Always the first to help a friend in need, Helene's loyalty was immeasurable. Helene leaves behind her husband Eric, stepdaughter Katie, brother-in-law Joe, brother David (wife Neelu), brother Chas, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved Jack Russell, Petey, who already misses his momma tremendously. Helene's legacy includes many friends in several states who adored her authentic and selfless spirit, and her love for life. Helene is preceded in death by her beloved mother Corrine and her brothers Jimmy and Tom. We take comfort in knowing that they are together again. Rest in peace dear Helene, we know you will be watching over us until we are together again.
