Mrs. Harlene Velie-Gordon went home to be with her Lord on November 18, 2022.At the age of 87, she passed quietly in her sleep. She was born April 11, 1935, in Plymouth, Wisconsin to Clive and Viola Velie.

In her early years in Wisconsin, Harlene was awarded her Master's in Education and became a forerunner as a reading specialist. After retiring from the Plymouth school district, she relocated to Florida. She earned her real estate license in 1982 and owned Tri-Delta Realty until 1991. After that, she was employed as a Broker Associate with Four Seasons Realty and later as a broker with Eden Properties.

While in Florida she met the love of her life, John Gordon. They married on Valentine's Day in 1985 and enjoyed 33 years together. When Harlene retired from Real Estate in 2008, she and John built their forever home on Spring Lake, DeFuniak. They fondly named it Gordon's Getaway.

Harlene is survived by her three children: David, Denise, and Dean along with three grandchildren: Joseph, Brian, and Kara. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Gordon; her parents Clive and Viola Velie; sister Lorraine Elizabeth Holbrook; and her granddaughter Kassidy.

A Time of Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Her homegoing is to be a private celebration of life with her family on Wednesday, November 23 ^rd . Internment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola where she will rest alongside her husband, John Gordon.
