Mr. Gregory Brock Cowman, age 75, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023. He was born on September 15, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to Thayer McConnell Cowman and Laura Lillian (Brock) Cowman.

Since retirement, Mr. Cowman was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School and Ohio University. For many years, he was employed as a bartender at the Napoleon House in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a talented painter, published author, and an avid Saints and Pelicans fan.  He was an enthusiastic restaurant goer and enjoyed music festivals and art exhibits. He was a blessing to his family and friends.

Mr. Cowman was preceded in death by his parents and beloved uncle, Thomas Crawford Cowman.

Mr. Cowman is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Elaine (Higgs) Cowman; three step-daughters: Nicki Solomito-Pugh and husband Jarred of Trout, Louisiana, Katie Fredrick and husband Chris of Zionsville, Indiana, and MacKenzie LeMoine and husband Patrick of Crestview, Florida; seven step-grandchildren:  Lucie Pugh, Lila Pugh, Laurel Pugh, Lachlan Pugh, Simon Fredrick, Emmett Fredrick, and Sage LeMoine; his dear sister, Judie Tanner, of Traverse City, Michigan.

A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or Ducks Unlimited.
