Mr. George F. Ferreira, age 90, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025. He was born on August 19, 1934 in Providence, Rhode Island to George Costa Ferreira and Matilda Ann Gonsalves Ferreira.

Mr. Ferreira was a resident of Walton County, Florida. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard, a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving his country for over twenty years before retiring. He also worked with the State of Florida for sixteen years with Water Management. He enjoyed woodworking and cooking for his family.

Mr. Ferreira was preceded in death by his father and mother; his wife of 61 years, Mary Ferreira; one son, Ronnie Ferreira; and one grandson, Eric Ferreira.

Mr. Ferreira is survived by three children, Richard Ferreira, Randy Ferreira, Rodney Ferreira and wife Becky; his grandchildren, Jessica Morales, Leslie Jones, Heather Jones, Regina Ferreira Smith, Jessica Hutchinson, Mikie Jones, Rodney Ferreira, Jr., Rebecca Fleming, and Mary Ferreira; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, January 26, 2026 at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Todd Camp officiating and Military Honors by the United States Coast Guard.
