Mr. Gene Autry Griffin, age 91, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022.  He was born  August 30, 1931 in Wausau, Florida to John and Allie McAdams Griffin.

Mr. Griffin was a resident of Freeport, Florida. He was Methodist by faith and a member of Freeport United Methodist Church. He was a devoted husband and father. He worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing and camping in his RV.

Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Orene Rosenberg, Catherine Worthington, J.C. Griffin. Lena Ellisor, Paulette Rogers and Shirley Street.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ida Elizabeth Griffin of Freeport, Florida; one son, Keith Maples and wife Ellie of Freeport, Florida; one brother, Buford Griffin and wife Ruth of Port St. Joe, Florida; and   one sister, Elvie Griffin Senterfitt.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida 32439.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home, 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida 32439, with Reverend Wesley Syfrett officiating.
