Mr. Gary Edward Brandt, age 70, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023. He was born on September 14, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to Charles Raymond and Irene Furi Brandt.
Mr. Brandt was a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. He was Catholic by faith and was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He worked in the meat industry for over 40 years. He was a business owner having owned and operated Cedar Hollow Foods in Lincoln, Nebraska for over 30 years producing deli hams. He was an avid golfer, cyclist, and enjoyed walking.
Mr. Brandt was preceded in death by his father Charles Brandt; and sister Karen Nichols.
Mr. Brandt is survived by his mother Irene Brandt of Niceville, Florida; wife Frances Brandt of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; children Krista Miller and husband Mike of Lincoln, Nebraska, Cassie Adams and husband Tim of Lincoln, Nebraska; stepchild Jennifer Robbins of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren Makenna Adams, Tessa Adams, Sophia Robbins; and two brothers Kenny Brandt and wife Anna of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Jim Brandt and wife Karen of St. Louis, Missouri.
A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at St. Rita Catholic Church; 137 Moll Drive; Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at St. Rita's Catholic Church; 137 Moll Drive; Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459.
Pallbearers will be Ken Brandt, Jim Brandt, Adam Brandt, Rodger Merz, Joe Bertel, and Bob Sellers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church building fund in Parkville, Missouri at https://www.wesharegiving.org/app/giving/WeShare-2979?tab=home or a charity of your choice.
Burial will follow in Historic Gulf Cemetery.
