Obituary

Mr. Frymire, age, 78 passed away January 29, 2025.  He was born on, June 16, 1946 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Nathan V. Frymire and Vannie Mae Hall Frymire.

Mr. Frymire was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was Baptist by faith and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam era, serving his country in the United States Navy for 20 years before retiring. He had more than 15 years experience in office automation, including communications operations and installation, implementing user-friendly electronics applications for the United States Navy. He also supervised the operation of sophisticated electronics-controlled equipment that received, recorded and analyzed radio communications. Having received a fourth good conduct medal, marksman rifle shot ribbon, expert rifle shot ribbon, navy unit commendation, national defense service medal, navy and marine, corps overseas service ribbon with silver star and 3 bronze stars, Vietnam service medal, Vietnam campaign medal, meritorious service medal, navy and marine corps achievement medal. He attended Northwest Florida State College (1964-67) (1976-78). He enjoyed fishing and working crossword puzzles, reading the Bible, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Frymire was preceded in death by his father Nathan Van Frymire and mother, Vannie Mae Hall, brother, Nathan Royce Frymire, and wife Ruth, two sisters, Betty Joyce Frymire and infant sister.

Mr. Frymire is survived by his son, Matthew Frymire and wife Teresa, son, Nicholas Frymire and wife Kalyn, daughter Jennifer Lynn Herndon and husband David, grandchildren, Alexis Herndon, Bradley Herndon, and Jazlynn Frymire, brother, Stanley Roger Frymire and wife Mary, Richard John Frymire Sr. and wife Sandy, brother Ted W. Frymire and wife Mary, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2025 at New Harmony Baptist Church, 2281 Co Hwy 2A, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2025 at New Harmony Baptist Church, with Reverend Todd Camp officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will be held at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, with military honors by the United States Navy.
