Ms. Elizabeth Pickard Carnley, age 61, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023. She was born on June 30, 1962 in Limestone, Maine to Thomas Olin, Sr. and Sylvia Belle Bowie Pickard.
Ms. Carnley was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was Presbyterian by faith and a member of the DeFuniak Springs First Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Walton High School in 1980. She was a devoted mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend. She worked as a seamstress for many years. Elizabeth was a God-fearing woman who loved her boys and family very much. She loved spending time with her family. She worked hard to provide her family with everything they needed. No matter what health challenges she faced, she faced them with no fear and never gave up. She has finally won her battle. She will be loved and missed dearly by all.
Ms. Carnley was preceded in death by her father and mother; and niece Justina "Tina" Pickard.
Ms. Carnley is survived by three children Windell Carnley and wife Jessica of DeFuniak Springs, J.T. Carnley and wife Summer of Slocomb, Alabama, David Pickard of DeFuniak Springs; three grandchildren Jagger Carnley, Jett Carnley, Renna Carnley; one brother Tom Pickard, Jr. and wife Justina of DeFuniak Springs; two sisters Elsie Watson and husband Donald of Cumming, Georgia, Ellen Pickard McLean and husband Randy of DeFuniak Springs; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 8, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church of DeFuniak Springs; 1063 Circle Dr, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435 with Reverend Cathy Mooney and Reverend Dean Penzo officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jackson Clemmons, Grady Campbell, Tanner Poole, Levi Kilhefner, Colten Nelson and Casen Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Couch, Marcus Baldwin, Joe Stuck and Frankie Turbeville.
Flowers are being accepted.
Burial will follow in Glendale Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Glendale, Florida.
