Effie Mae Miller

Ms. Effie Mae Miller, age 93, passed away August 29, 2026. She was born on May 29, 1933 in Walton County, Florida to Charles Padgett and Susie Johnson Padgett.

Ms. Miller was a lifelong resident of Walton County, Florida. She was Christian by faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother and aunt. She enjoyed growing flowers, and spending time with her family

Ms. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Miller and her son, Larry Miller.

Ms. Miller is survived by her son, Gary Miller, granddaughter, Candy Nowling and husband Chris, great grandchildren, Brandon Elkins, Savannah Nowling and husband Ryan, Mason Nowling and Carli Nowling, and great great grandchildren, Urijah and Oakley.

A time of visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Leonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Wilbur Williams officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Padgett, Wade Hayslip, Brandon Elkins, Jerry Slay and Terry Padgett.
