Mrs. Doris Mitchell, 90, of Chipley , Florida passed away Friday, August 24, 2008. She was born September 20, 1917 in Freeport, Florida to Nandie and Texie Brown Thomason. Doris was a resident of Chipley. She was Baptist by faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She worked as a Payroll Clerk at Eglin Air Force Base for 15 years. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold Mitchell, five brothers; two sisters, and one son Rodney H. Mitchell. Doris is survived by her two sons James Edward Mitchell and wife Kathy of DeFuniak springs, Florida and Allen Guy Mitchell of Phuket, Thailand; one sister Patricia Harvell and husband Dale of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Memorialization will be by direct cremation.
