Donnie Lee Roop, 45, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away on May 3, 2024, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was born on July 22, 1978, in Tampa, Florida to Denise June Sutter.

He was Baptist by faith and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Crestview, Florida. A devoted husband and loving father, he was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and enjoyed playing softball with his friends. He was known for his sense of humor and joking around and was always willing to help anyone in need.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Denise Sutter and step-father, Robert "Bob" General Roop.

He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Genara Chantel Roop, son, Brayden Lee Roop, daughter, Adasyn M'Lia Roop, all of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; mother in-law, Lynda D. Robinson and father in-law Dennis E. Robinson, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; sister, Shenandoah Stewart and husband Bruce of Spring Hill, Florida; Jessica Chattin and children Jace, Jaxon & Kali; Dakota Chattin and wife Bella and daughter Ryann Avery; Diana Chattin and children Angelo, Rosalina, Zakai and Namacuix; step-mother, Weezie Roop and numerous extended family.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Monday, May 13, 2024, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel at 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, 32435.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, May 13, 2024, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel at 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, 32435.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
