Mr. Donald Newton Trotman, age 79, passed away September 4, 2024 in Bonifay, Florida.  He was born November 26, 1944 in rural Yuma Arizona to Daniel Newton and Marion Southard Trotman.

He graduated from Lafayette High School in Mayo, Florida. Then he attended Florida State University, after which he taught high school in Florida and Georgia until retirement. Don taught Spanish and Special Education. He was a kind person who would help anyone in need. He was very fond of cats and always had a few for pets, frequently adopting abandoned cats.

Don was preceded in death by his parents.

Don is survived by two brothers, Dale and Douglas Trotman and one niece, Rhea Trotman.

It was Don's final wishes to be buried in the Trotman family plot at Magnolia Cemetery in DeFuniak Springs, Florida with private family services.
