Ms. Dolores R. May, age 94, passed away March 24, 2022. She was born on April 10, 1927 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Clarence F. May and Bertha Boren May.

Ms. May was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She taught school in Portsmouth, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio. She retired from Columbus after teaching 34 years. After moving to DeFuniak Springs in 1986, she worked for Okaloosa College teaching adult education at ARC. She won the prestigious Valley Forge teachers award for co-authoring an operetta for children, called 'My America'. She was a member of Cornerstone Church where she enjoyed Church activities and her Church family.

Ms. May was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Bertha May, and her sister Mildred Geiger.

Ms. May is survived by two nephews, Joseph Geiger of Okeechobee, Florida and Jonathan Geiger of Tallahassee, Florida; a great-niece, Tabitha LaRue of Okeechobee, Florida; four great-nephews Justin Geiger, Aaron Geiger of Panama City, Florida, Sean Siders of Panama City, Florida and Ian Siders of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; caregiver and special friends Julie, Greg, Vincent, and Anthony Elio; her best friend and prayer partner Faye White; longtime friends Ken and Denise Siders on Panama City, Florida, and Leonard and Ramona Schulenberg of DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00- 11:00 AM Monday, April 4, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 4, 2022 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida with Pastor Doyle Redwine officiating.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Geiger, Ian Siders, Kenneth Siders, Vincent Elio, Anthony Elio, and Greg Farris.

Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
