Dennis Ray Howell, aged 69, of DeFuniak Springs, FL, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 7, 2026. Born October 31, 1956, Dennis lived a full life defined by his hard work, diverse talents, and deep love for his family and friends.

Mr. Howell was a graduate of Walton High School; Dennis was a man of many trades who took great pride in his work. While his major occupation was truck driving, he also dabbled in hotel management, construction, and plumbing. There was rarely a problem he couldn't solve or a project he couldn't build.

Dennis loved water skiing, hunting, shooting, cars, and music. He was known for being witty, opinionated, and fiercely stubborn; Dennis always let you know exactly where he stood, usually wrapping his strong opinions in a sharp sense of humor. Above all, he cherished the simple routines of life, most recently his weekly lunches with his brother and the companionship of his beloved dog, Cushy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucille Howell and Charles Howell Sr., and his sister, Judy Bishop.

Dennis is survived by his siblings, Charles Norman Howell Jr., James William Howell, and Bama Hillard. He leaves behind a lasting legacy through his two children, Charlie Howell his wife Karri Howell, and Courtney Howell as well as many extended family members and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
