Obituary for Dennis Edwin Chandler Sr. Mr. Dennis Chandler Sr., age 56, of DeFuniak Springs, known as Dinnerpot to his family and many friends passed away Saturday, May 5, 2007 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was born January 5, 1951 in St. Petersburg, Florida to John Chandler and Ruby McLeod Wood. Mr. Chandler had been a resident of Walton County for the past 12 years. He was Holiness by faith and a member of the Community Holiness Church on Highway 83. He worked as a carpenter and subcontractor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking care of his animals, he also enjoyed growing flowers. Mr. Chandler was predeceased in death by his mother Ruby and step-father Ginger Wood and father John Chandler; two sons James and Bryan Chandler. Mr. Chandler is survived by his companion Kathy Crew of Liberty, Florida, one son Dennis Chandler Jr. and wife Carrie of Okeechobee, Florida; one daughter Lisa Ann King and husband Curtis of Okeechobee, Florida; one brother Alex Wood of Ponce De Leon, Florida; one sister Rena Watters and husband Steve of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; eight grandchildren Chris, Dustin, Matthew, Preston, Cody, Marshall, Lane and Austin; three nieces Kiran, Teah and Taylor and special friends August and Kelly Sefo of DeFuniak Springs.. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Westside Baptist Church, with Pastor Randy Nelson officiating. Floral arrangements are being accepted. Memorialization will be by direct cremation. Clary-Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
