Obituary

David Aaron Neenan, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 62. David was born September 9, 1963, to Raymond Earl Neenan and Lois Gail (Roberts) Neenan in Homestead, Florida. On February 18, 1984, he married Brenda May Martin. They raised two daughters, Rachael Marie Neenan and Amanda Gail Brannon.

David’s main goal in life was the welfare of his family. They came first to him, no matter what. After graduating from high school, he joined the Air Force. He served 38 years working in the Air Force or for the military during his service. He had multiple deployments all over the world, always hoping to effect some small change for the good. After retirement, he and his wife thoroughly enjoyed camping and traveling all over the United States. David was an avid fisherman and golfer, especially with his friends and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren every chance he had. David had a passion for preparing large meals and having a family get-together on all the special occasions of the year.

David was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Neenan; his mother, Gail Neenan; and his brother, Tony Scanlon.

David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda; his stepmother, Syglendia; his daughter, Rachael and husband Joshua and grandchildren Elijah and Khloe and his daughter Amanda and husband Tyler and grandchildren Lyla, Emily and Haven; his sister, Melynda Laird his cousin Shawn Goodrich and his wife Renee his nephew and godson Aaron Goodrich, his niece Paige Goodrich-Jaquet and husband Jordan, his very best friend Steven Foreman and his wife Tammie.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435 with Reverend Phillip Doub officiating and Full Military Honors by the United States Air Force.
