Obituary

Charles Wayne Thompson, Charles, Darling, Daddy, Dad, Pop, G-Pop.  Charles wore many caps (literally), and tried his best to wear them all well.  Charles was a devoted husband, Dad, Pop and G-Pop.  He loved the Lord and gave Him praise and thanked Him daily.  He witnessed to people in a bold way that most of us never master.  He loved his family with everything he had in him and took every opportunity to let them know just how much.  He took his friendships seriously and was one of the few people that loved to visit and check in on those he cared about.

Charles loved his extended and church families and prayed for all daily.  Even when in the hospital he was praying constantly and lifting us up.  He gave the Good Lord the credit for all blessings and reminded us to do the same.

Charles was a hard worker his entire life.  He loved the outdoors and was never happier than when he and Mom were holding a fishing pole on the river.

He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Nellie who was his Sweetheart that he cherished and loved beyond words; his daughter Rhonda and husband Joe and his daughter Nita and husband Michael.  Also, his pride and joy, his grands and great grands, granddaughter Abigail and husband Justin, child Charlie (to arrive February 2023), grandson Blaise, granddaughter Juliet and husband Paul, children Joseph and McKenzie. He never missed a chance to brag on all of them if someone would listen. He is also survived by one brother, Kenneth Thompson.
