Mr. Charles Everet Garner II, age 63, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026. Born on September 18, 1962, in Radford, Virginia, he was the beloved son of Richard Alan Garner and Margaret O’Neill O’Reilly.
A longtime resident of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Mr. Garner was a devoted member of St. Rita Catholic Church, embracing his faith throughout his life. He was a loving husband, father, and mentor to many, whose greatest joy was his three children.
Mr. Garner earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Tulane University and built a successful career as a Commercial Real Estate Developer. He was an enthusiastic fly fisherman enjoying his passion across the world, and was also an avid golfer, proudly achieving a hole in one.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Alan Garner, and his daughter-in-law, Catherine Morrow Garner.
Charles is survived by his mother, Maggie O’Reilly; his cherished wife of 35 years, Liz Garner; his children, Charles Everet Garner III, Alexander O’Reilly Garner, and Cecilia Tooley Garner; his brother, Neil Patrick Garner; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mr. Garner’s life was marked by love, dedication, and numerous achievements that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Pallbearers will be Charles Garner III, Alexander Garner, Neil Garner, Martin Svikhart , Shannon Ford and Travis Robertson
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 1, 2026 Historic Gulf Cemetery; S County Hwy 393, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459 with Father Peter Jutras officiating.
