Mr. Burt Tyrone Cosson, age 83, passed away August 13, 2024.  He was born on January 27,1941 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Willie Coy Cosson and Bertha Jones Cosson.

Mr. Cosson was a lifelong resident of Walton County, Florida. He was Methodist by faith and a member of Red Bay Methodist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked as a Licensed Contractor and Builder for many years and was also the owner of Cosson Home Builders. He also owned and operated Cosson Truss Company in DeFuniak Springs, Florida for several years. He loved fishing, hunting, wood working and traveling.

Mr. Cosson was preceded in death by father and mother; 2 daughters, Victoria Trullu and Misty Cosson; one grandchild, Camille Cosson; two brothers, Wayne Cosson and Bill Cosson and one sister, Monette Page.

Mr. Cosson is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Janice M. Cosson and two sons, Burt Cosson and his Wife Tiffany and Bruce Cosson all of Eucheeanna Community. He is also survived by his grandchildren, McLeod Cosson and his fiancé Emy, Austin Cosson and Perry Lee Cosson and his great grandchildren, Fisher Cosson and River Cosson.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 16, 2024 at Red Bay Methodist Church; with Reverend Henry Martin and Reverend Rodney Infinger officiating and Eulogy by Burt Cosson.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Rivard, Benji Holley, Joe Johnson, Billy Cosson, Jim Cosson and Mike Cosson.

Burial will be held at Red Bay Cemetery.
