Obituary

Brian David Seago of Kansas City, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025 in Shenandoah Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of Florida until 2014 when he made Kansas City, Missouri his home where he settled into a career with Burns & McDonnell as a draftsman.

Brian loved his country and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 2002- 2012, during this time he served two active-duty tours in The Gulf War.

He loved spending time with his family and friends; he was a true outdoorsman and an avid cyclist. Bicycles were his passion, as well as helping others enjoy riding. Brian often volunteered his time at local bike shops helping build and repair bicycles for people in need. Some of his other loves were kids, dogs, long naps, a good beer, a medium rare steak and his music.

Brian is survived by his mother Dana Sims Seago of Ponce de Leon, Florida, sister Ashley Seago White and husband Ryan White of Tallahassee Florida, Grandparents Guy and Betty Seago of Manvel, Texas, and Dennis and Cynthia Sims of Bonifay Florida. He is preceded in death by his father Guy David Seago and Grandmother Madeline Werner.

In the 42 years that Brian lived, he was so many things to so many people. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandson, a soldier, and a true friend. Brian was a man of faith with a big, tender heart, loving soul and a great laugh ... he will be missed so much by so many.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brian's honor to the Life Connection Church in Kansas City Missouri at 217 Benton Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64123, where Brian was a member, or to the 816 Bicycle Collective in Kansas City Missouri at https://816bike.org where Brian volunteered.
