Brian Robert Hogan, a resident of Freeport, Florida, passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 79. He was born on February 1, 1947, and lived a life marked by service, professional dedication, and in his later years, his Christian faith.
Brian was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam Era. That commitment to duty remained a defining part of his life. He went on to build a distinguished career in aviation, working as an Aviation Accident Investigator and later owning and operating his own consulting business in Aviation Accident Investigations. His work reflected both deep technical knowledge and a serious sense of responsibility.
He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and also studied law at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. These pursuits spoke to his disciplined mind and broad professional interests.
Above all, Brian will be remembered by those who knew and loved him best. He is survived by his wife, Leigh Hogan; his mother, Dorothy Hogan; his brother, Steven Hogan and his wife Jacinthe; and his sister, Deirdre DuPlessis. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hogan, and by his brothers, James Hogan and Michael Hogan.
Brian Hogan will be remembered with respect and affection for his service to his country, his accomplished career, and his love for family and friends. His memory will remain a lasting presence in the lives of those who mourn him and cherish him.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Watershed Community Church; 4942 US-98 #12, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.
