Mr. Billy Foy Arrant, age 68, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010. He was born July 24, 1942in Bay Minette to John and Willie Sowell Arrant. Mr. Arrant was Baptist by faith. He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces serving his country in the United States Army. He retired with Monsanto in Pensacola, Florida and with Degussa Chemical Corporation in Theodore, Alabama. Mr. Arrant is preceded by his parents and one sister Joy Andrews. Mr. Arrant is survived by one sister Shelby J. Arrant of Cantonment, Florida; his two brothers Charles L. Arrant and wife Rhonda of Cantonment, Florida and Donald M. Arrant and wife Glenda of Gaskin, Florida, also survived by three nieces Sherry Burgess, Sandra Baltzley, Adrienne Huestis and seven nephews Johnny Andrews, David Andrews, Bobby Andrews, Chad Arrant, Norton Arrant, Donald Mike Arrant, and Billy Jenkins. A time of visitation will be held 10:00~11:00 AM, Friday, September 17, 2010 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Leonia, Florida. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, September 17, 2010 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Reverend Dale Paul officiating. Those who will serve as pallbearers are Chad Arrant, Norton Arrant, Greg Burgess, Joe Alberson, John Knopes, and Eddie Alberson. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Leonia in Holmes County, Florida. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be sent to Covenant Hospice at 10075 Hillview Road, Pensacola, Florida 32514. The family would like to express a special thank you to Covenant Hospice and the 3rd floor medical staff at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for their loving care during Billys illness.
