Mrs. Betty M. Griggs, age 82, passed away December 11, 2021. She was born on March 31, 1939 to Casey Rushing and Mattie Bell Rushing.

Mrs. Griggs was a resident of Euchee Valley, Florida. She was Christian by faith and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked as a school bus driver for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and quilting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Griggs was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband of 60 years, Monroe Griggs; her sister Milbra Rushing; her brothers James Rushing and Cleve Rushing; one son, Ray Griggs, Jr.; and one daughter, Susan Griggs.

Mrs. Griggs is survived by her son John P. Griggs of Eucheeanna, Florida; two brothers, Gary Rushing and wife Jeanie of Eucheeanna, Florida and Thomas Rushing and wife Marsha of Ponce De Leon, Florida; one sister, Myrtle Rushing and husband Herbert of Ponce De Leon, Florida; three grandchildren, Bridgett Griggs and Cody Poore, Jessica Parker and husband Curtis, and Rayanna Griggs; and six great-grandchildren, Alison, Luke, Jaxson, Allysa, Clarissa, and Alona.

A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 -10:00 AM, Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenny Montgomery officiating.

Burial will be held at Euchee Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted to help offset funeral expenses.

Pallbearers will be Jared Bell, Luke Cotton, Kenny Owens, Brian Ammons, Chris Ammons, and Robert Leathers.
