Mrs. Betty Adkison, age 61, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away July 18, 2008. She was born December 31, 1946 in Leonia, Florida to Thomas and Willie Wells Vann. Mrs. Adkison had been a lifelong resident of Holmes and Walton Counties. She was Apostolic by faith and a member of the New Life Apostolic Church in Eucheanna. She worked in the meat market at Thriftway Grocery Store in DeFuniak Springs for over 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, making dolls and Christmas Ornaments, She was very dedicated mother and grandmother. Mrs. Adkison was preceded in death by her parents and husband Bill Adkison. Mrs. Adkison is survived by her daughter Marie Adkison of the Eucheanna Community, two brothers Joe Vann and wife Barbara Jean of DeFuniak Springs and Ray Vann and wife Cheryl of Freeport, and two grandchildren Kathyrn Adkison and Katie Adkison. A time of visitation will be held 6:00~8:00 PM, Sunday, July 20, 2008 at New Life Apostolic Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 21, 2008 at New Life Apostolic Church, with Reverend Jason Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Cemetery. Floral arrangements are being accepted.
