Mrs. Barbara Jean Howell Marks, age 69, passed away July 1, 2026. She was born on November 15, 1956, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Ernest Howell and Alma Johnson.

Mrs. Marks was a resident of Freeport, Florida.

Mrs. Marks was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Howell and Alma Johnson; brothers, Rickey Howell, Mickey Howell, Dale Howell, and Johnnie Howell and grandsons, Little John Howell and Bruwin Cuchens.

Mrs. Marks is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Leslie Marks of Freeport, Florida; son, Jamie Thompson; daughters, Jodie Mae Kilmer (Bob) and Mindy Bea Cuchens (Terrance) all of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; sister, Paulette Wright of Freeport, Florida; sister in law, Joanne Howell of Freeport, Florida; grandchildren, Wayne Meeks, Ashley Butts, Austin Butts, Gunner Cuchens, Mikayla Cuchens, Melodee Cuchens, and her name sake, Macee Jean Cuchens and great grandchildren, Maverick, Aubree, Maggie, Cecil, Opal and Gatlin Bruwin.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
