Austin Shane Godwin, age 20, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026. He was born on November 1, 2005, in Tallahassee, Florida to Wendy Sue Swain.

Austin was a resident of Freeport, Florida. He played baseball at Freeport Middle School and then he attended Freeport High School. He was a very talented artist and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting fishing and camping. He also enjoyed playing baseball. He enjoyed aggravating his brothers and sisters. He had a very expensive taste in shoes.

Austin was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Norma Swain; paternal grandmothers, Drusilla Migues and Aunt Samantha Swain.

Austin is survived by his mother, Wendy Sue Sanders and her husband Ryan Sanders; his siblings, Chandler Seale, Michelle Mullings and her husband Martin, Caitlin Clements and her husband Nick and Devland Sanders; one niece, Naomi Mullings; maternal grandfather, Charles Swain; paternal grandparents. Glenn Sanders and his wife Rhonda and Ralene Freeman and her husband David.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida 32439.
